How do opt not to add a contact from an email received?

We have business inquiry emails filtering through our website and do not want
those email addresses automatically added to our contact list. How do we opt
out of the feature that adds to your contact list from emails received?

Outlook doesn't add email addresses automatically, except in the ancient and problematic Outlook 2000 IMO only mode.

I worded the question incorrectly. When the email received is responded to,
the contact is generated. We would prefer that not happen. We only want the
contact list added to for people/organizations we are regularly responding to
rather than a one time inquiry from our website. Please advise if we can opt
to approve/disapprove contacts prior to their being added to the contact list.

As Sue said, Outlook doesn't work that way, unless it's the old Outlook 2000
in Internet Mail Only mode.

No. You can either leave this Outlook 2000 IMO feature on or turn it off.
