how do I view cell fill colors on my screen with Excel XP (2002)?

When I assign a color to a cell, I cannot see the color on the screen,
although it appears in PRINT PREVIEW and the final hard copy. How can I view
the color on the screen?

If this is a problem with all Excel files with coloured cells, the Windows OS
high contrast setting may be turned on. There is information in the
