I want to email a Word 2007 document to all the contacts in my Windows Live
address book, can this be done? Also will my contacts be able to read it if
they have earlier versions of Word?

There is no relationship between Word and the Live address book to allow
mail merge using that address book.
You would have to export the address book from Live to a comma delimited
file or to Outlook then use that as a data source for a mail merge to e-mail
http://www.gmayor.com/merge_labels_with_word_2007.htm and
http://www.gmayor.com/mailmerge_from_outlook.htm
Will your contacts be able to read the Word 2007 document? If they have Word
2007 or an earlier version with the 2007 compatibility pack then yes. If
they have not, and you will probably have no way of knowing, then save the
document as Word 97-2003 format, but be prepared for the issue covered at
http://www.gmayor.com/Problems_opening_2007_docs.htm or save as RTF or
better still save as PDF which will give your readers less trouble.
