How do I use the wildcard query to find words like "the" in the ta

I need help with this....ive created a Stock Register Table in Access 07
containing CD Titles, Artists, price of the CD etc but I need to find out how
many CDS are by Artists starting with "The"....
I also got to use the wildcard query to find the words and Im not to sure on
how to as I'm new to using Access.....Please help thanks

sounds like a classroom assignment, Twiggy. most people here won't give you
solutions to classwork, because part of the learning process is learning how
to find the solutions you need. i can suggest that you read up on wildcard
characters in Access Help, and/or refer to whatever Access textbook you're
using. i'd think there would be a section on building queries and setting
criteria.

Look at the "Like" function in Access Help. In the simple example you gave
you would set the Criteria in the title field to Like("The*")
