in three rows, i have to use advanced filtering to display all part-time
employees working within a certain city as well as full-time employees
working at home and earning 40,000 or more.

If you have all these in separate columns then select the range with header
row and choose Data|Auto Filter then go into each columns and choose what you
want...

or enter criteria in a range (with header in row 1 and conditon in row 2
below, select that range and choose Data|Advance Filter

Hi,

Since you are using Advanced Filter for this the criteria range will look
like:

Status City Worksite Salary
Part Time New York
Full Time Home >=40000

If the city for the Full Time employees is also New York you must add it.
I'm sure you know that the titles must match the titles in the data table.

You can not do this with Auto Filter.

If this helps, please click the Yes button.
