How do I use "Action Queries"

I need to delete an item from a table, using a query and it looks like
"Action Query" is the way to go, but I cant find anything in Access training
that shows me how to use it. Can anybody help please?
 
In the query builder, create a select query and then go to Query>Delete Query
and change it to a Delete Query. Use a backup of your db and practice a bit
to see how it works.
