how do i update spell checker

if I type in the word 'want', for example the spell checker doesn't pick it
up, which is good, however, if I then type 'wanted' this then becomes a
spelling error and gets picked up.
I think the term is present and past tense, is there an update that doesn't
pick up the other tenses as mistakes?

Are you typing the words one after the other? Word may be picking "wanted"
up as a repetition.
