If this problem only occurs with one particular document, try clicking on
Tools | Unprotect Document. If this problem occurs with all new and existing
documents, then it's probably "reduced functionality mode" because you have
not activated the software or because you have a trial version of Word that
has expired... what happens if you start Word and click on Help | Activate
