How do I unlock a word document

I went into a word document to update it and it will not allow to make any
changes because it says that the selection is locked. I was not even aware
you could lock a document. So obviously I have no idea how I did it...but
now need to undo it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

It sounds like you've been using a Trial Version whose time period has
expired... It's time to pay up

If you have actually purchased a license to use the software perhaps you
have not yet completed the Activation process.

Hi,
Try to click on the "developer" on the toolbar, then click protect document,
and at the Editing restrictions see if you can unlock the document.
