How do I 'unbloat' a DB?

I tried to add a field to an Access DB which would contain a small
picture of every person in the DB.
As I was warned, the DB (with only about 15 records) bloat3ed to a
massive 76 Mb.
I have now deleted the picture field but I am still left with 74.4 Mb.
How can I slim the DB down to a somewhat more normal size?

TIA,

A html link to the pictures may be a better solution........

I know, tried that, but no luck.
Also saw some good examples of Databases with pictures in it, but don't
understand how to transfer that one field (the picture one) to my db.
Thanks anyway.
