The basic toggle for underline on/of is [Ctrl]+ or using the U icon in the
format tool bar.
However, it may also be that a previous cell was formatted using underlining
for some reason, such as for indicating a hyperlink, and you may have to
select the cell(s) and use Edit | Clear | Formats to remove such formatting.
