How do I turn on Print Screen?

I know how and why to use print screen to capture either the whole display
(Print Screen) or just the active window (Alt + Print Screen) - and then
paste it into my PowerPoint slides. All of a sudden, nothing pastes. I
checked the clipboard, and nothing has been captured to paste. Is there a
setting somewhere I need to adjust? Or what do I need to do to fix it?

Are you able to paste into other applications (Office and non-Office
applications)? That is, is this just a PowerPoint problem, and Office
problem, or a computer problem?
