How do I turn off the automatic entering of numbers in records?

When I am typing numbers into a table, Access automatically completes
"series" for me. For instance, if adjacent cells (either horizontal or
vertical) have consecutive values, once I move to the next cell with the tab
or arrow keys, the next number in the supposed series is automatically
entered. If I type a 1, and a 2 in the next cell, and hit tab, Access adds a
3 automatically. If I have 1 and 3, Access adds a 5. I cannot figure out
how to turn this off for the life of me, as I don't know what this feature is
called. It's extremely likely to lead to errors in my databases!

Thanks for any help.

Hi

"Turn Off Auto Correct" from Tools -- AutoCorrect.

None of us can understand why they introduced that "feature" into Access,
especially with no way of turning it off.

The solution is not to add data directly to the table. Use a form instead.
