How do I turn get rid of the !@#$%^ email toolbar?

Somehow I turned on the e-mail toolbar option and cannot find any way to
close it - can someone help?

Click View --> Toolbars --> uncheck the email toolbar option?

Thanks, Dave, but that does not do it. There are four lines across the top of
the program, starting with Send a copy, To, CC, and then subject. Clicking
View, Toolbars, and then checking or unchecking the email option only adds or
withdraws a toolbar above it. UGHHH. Frustrating. And HELP is no help.

Two ways:

1. Click on the E-mail button (the exact position will depend on the version
of Word, but it's toward the left end of the Standard toolbar).

2. On the File | Send To menu, uncheck "Mail Recipient."
