How do I translate text field into date in ACCESS Query

If the date information was entered correctly, you should be able to open the
table in design and change the data type to a "Date/Time" instead of "Text".
I would make a copy first to make sure it all translates properly first.

How do I translate text field into date 0104--> 01/01/

01/01/ isn't a date, and I don't see how it can be derived at all from
the text string 0104.

What calendar date does 0104 refer to? What are some other examples of
your "non-date dates"?
