how do i transfer documents from a CD to my hard drive

I just purchased a new computer w/Windows Vista. I transferred my documents
from my old computer Windows XP to a CDR. I don't know how to bring up the
discs now on my new computer.
 
AFAIK, there is nothing that Microsoft Word can do for you. Did you
consider posting your question in a WindowsXP or Vista forum?
