how do I transfer adresses in excel to word letters?

I have a big problem, I have 1,040 different adresses in Microsoft Excel.
But I have no idea how to transfer them to Letters that need to go out for my
boss's grand opening. I need to getthese adresses onto a letter that is
going out to potental customers. Any info would be appreciated. Thank you.

You'd need to do a mail merge. I've not done them many times so can't give
the detailed instructions.
