How do I track meeting acceptances/declines in a public calender?

In public folders I have set up a calender to send invites to other staff
members to meeting or training sessions but I want to be able to track who
accept or declines. I want to be able to send the invite from the calendar
in public folders not from my calendar.
It is possible to do this?

No, not really. The public folder calendar is more like a paper calendar
that sits on the wall, in full view of everyone. It is meant for posting and
viewing.

The automated "talley" of responses is only done on "system folders" or
"default folders". You need to make the appointment from your own
calendar in order to use the accept/decline talley.

when i accept an appt invitation and use "add to calendar", the appt posts to
the msn calendar even though i have windows live calendar open. as such the
appt will not be shared via outlook connector. is there a solutuoin >?
