How do I title individual slides in Powerpoint?

The title of a slide goes in the Title placeholder for each slide.
Almost all slide layouts have a place for the title. Just type the title
in there. If you don't want the title to appear on the slide when you
show the slideshow, just drag that title area into the gray area outside
the viewable portion of the slide.
