How do I take off numbering but keep the numbering hard on the pag

I sometimes need to copy and paste a numbered list but not in the same
sequential numbering but at the same time keep that numbering although it
won't be sequential.

I know there is some way that you can highlight the text and mark it to keep
the numbering hard on the page but I have forgotten.

Move Highlight the list, right click choose continue or restart.
