How do I switch off keyboard shortcuts in Powerpoint?

I have used ppt to make up a quiz for young children to do while sitting at
the computer. It uses multiple choice selections which then use hyperlinks to
go to the appropriate slides. However if the user clicks the mouse or presses
certain keys by mistake the presentation moves onto the next linear slide in
the sequence which is probably not the slide they need. How can I disable the
keyboard (apart from "esc") and the mouse click except when over a hyperlink?
I'm surely not the first person to come across this problem!

Many thanks - I thought it ought to be simple but couldn't find anything when
I "searched"!
