How do I stop word from prompting 'Delete Block No (Yes)?'

Somehow, a setting must have changed, and I am now always prompted with the
above.
I would like Word to automatically delete a block of text when I press the
delete key.
I can't locate any information about how to change the default.

Welcome to the world of Word Perfect as seen through the eyes of Microsoft!

Tools => Options => General

Uncheck both options that have Word Perfect in their descriptions.
