How do I stop warning message?

M

Michael Taylor

I get the following message when looking at various sites that use a mixture
of http and https.

'This page contains both secure and nosecure items. Do you want to display
the nonsecure items?'

I saw a security option in Internet Explorer Advanced settings - 'Warn if
changing between secure and not secure mode'. The option is not ticked so I
thought I shouldn't get that warning message.

Any thoughts?
Thanks
Mike

Hi Michael :)

You don't tell us what version of Windows you are using so I can only guess
at a suggestion. Try the following and see if it helps:

How to get rid of the warning:
Tools>Internet Options>Security>Custom Level>Miscellaneous>Display mixed
content.
By default its set to prompt, reset it to Enable.

Hope this helps.

Hello Jan,
Thanks for your help - and good guess! Your suggestion worked. I was using
IE6 on Windows XP Pro with SP2 and all high priority updates applied
