How do I stop the Review tool bar coming up when I open docs?

A friend was working in word on my laptop and has somehow set the Reviewing
tool bar to turn on whenever I open an existing document and I can't figure
out how to turn it off!
 
View | Toolbars | Reviewing. Make sure it is not ticked. Hope this helps.
