how do I stop runtime error using microsoft work/word?

When I use microsoft work/word I keep getting runtime error and when I open
the program again it ask if I want to recover my document but when I try the
same message reappear runtime error and I cannot recover my document.

Try reinstalling Word, or run the maintenance option.

If you have the WorksSuite add-in installed, go to the Control panel and
remove it.
