How do I stop Outlook from doubling incoming Emails?

My Outlook 2003 doubles incoming emails and it is making my inbox huge :(. I
would like to know if there i a way to fix this other than deleting the
doubled copy.

Do you have any rules set up that might be duplicating messages? For
instance, if two different rules act on the same message, you might end up
with a copy. If that's not the case, could antivirus or spam blocking
software be causing the duplication?
