How do I stop Outlook from deleting received messages?

When some of my e-mail messages are received in Outlook, they show for a
brief second and then disappear. They are not in the deleted folder. I can't
find them anywhere. How do I stop this from happening?

Disable any applicatrion you have that scans incoming mail, like an
antivirus program or an antispam program. Also disable Outlook's junk mail
filter.
