How do I stop outlook 2003 from trying to contact the LDAP Server?

Everytime I click on the To: button to pick a contact from my address book,
my computer will start some kind of process that I can not override. then
after some 12-15 seconds, I get an error dialog that I must acknowledge
before I can do anything else. The error dialog says unable to contact LDAP
server. I have just my one computer here at home connected to my router. How
do I disable this LDAP server thing, and just call up my own address book
without having to go through this error message thing each and every time I
want to send an e-mail?

So, tell us how or why you have selected an LDAP as your address service
provider if you don't use one. Outlook doesn't do this all by itself.

Click Tools>E-mail Accounts>View ir change existing directories or address
book>Next. Select the LDAP service if you don't use it, and click Remove.
Stop and start Outlook.
