When I forward an email to a new contact and make changes to the original
message Outlook inserts my name in square brackets and itallics (everywhere
that I make a change).

How do I switch off this function?

Roady, thank you for your answer. I was going crazy wondering my name was
popping up when I was editing an email. It wasn't doing it and then I must
have gotten "click happy" in the Options tab and checked on the box. Now I
know why it started and how to stop it.
