When I hit a keyboard shortcut to open Internet Explorer, if the Windows
Explorer window is the active window, the home web page shows up in the
window where the files are listed, rather than as a new window. How can I
get IE to open in a new window? [If Windows Explorer is NOT the active
window, the home web page DOES show up as a new window.]

Start | Settings | Control Panel | Internet Options |
Advanced tab |
UNCheck:
 Reuse windows for launching shortcuts

such as Outlook Express, and there is already an Internet Explorer window
open, the Web page appears in the open browser window instead of opening a
new window.]]
