How do I stop double spacing in my email text?

I've tried everything but my email text still double spaces. All the format
settings say single spacing. Is it a "Word setting"? How do I change it down
to single spacing if all the format settings already say single spacing. If
its on HTML or Rich Text, it's double spacing. If I change it to plain text I
lose my stationary but it goes back to single spacing. Do you have any
suggestions?

Stop using Word as your e-mail editor. You are using a rich formatting mode
whether it be HTML or RTF. That means you are using the spacing that is
configured in Word, like the spacing between paragraphs. It isn't double
spacing. It is adding the larger space line as defined in Word for that
formatting mode (i.e., it is one line but a fatter line). Check Word for
how you have defined the size of the spacer line for paragraphs (i.e., how
much space between paragraphs). Or just stop using Word as the e-mail
editor and use the one included in Outlook.

So if I want to change that space I have to go to Word and reduce it? How do
I do that. I really appreciate your help.
Thanks again,
Rob

I don't use Word much (well, I used it a lot more a few years ago when I got
forced to use it for documenting our test procedures). Somewhere you
configure your "style" regarding its paragraph spacing. Try hitting F1
while in word and search on "paragraph spacing". One, or more, of the help
articles should tell you how to modify whatever style you are using when
composing your message. You could also ask in a Word newsgroup since that
is the program you are using to write your e-mail.
