While I am doing a presentation there are little sounds (clicks, etc) that
other programs cause, (I have no other programs up and running....) Is there
a setting that I can do that would only let sound from the slide show play?

Thankyou.

Eric,
Sounds as if there are sounds added to your animations <g>, am i repeating
myself.
To eliminate them, activate the custom animation taskpane (I'm guessing you
use PPT 2002/2003 here), click on one of your animations and press CTRL + A
to select all your animations, right-click on the selection choose effect
options, choose the effects tab, in the sound list choose no sound and hit
OK.
Hope this helps

If programs other than PPT are causing the sounds, there's not much you can do
in PPT to prevent the problem. You'd need to stop the other programs from
running.

Or ... and this may or may not help, depending on the program:

Choose Start, Control Panel
Doubleclick Sounds and Audio Devices
Click the Sounds tab
Scroll through the Program Events list to see if the program causing the sound
is listed. If so, click the event that's making the sound happen and change
the sound to None in the "Sounds" box below.
