How do I stop a file being executed on startup?

Jammer

When I startup my PC it tries to run an executable called openme.exe.

What happened was that my virus checker found a file called openme.exe
in the Windows directory. I've thoroughly checked the whole system
and everything 'seems' to be OK.

But... on startup... Windows throws an error saying it can't find
openme.exe.

How do I stop this from happening?

I've tried running msconfig, but I can't find the launch command
anywhere there.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Click Start, Run, type in "msconfig" (without quotes) and click OK. Then
click on the Startup tab and uncheck the box referring to "openme.exe".
Click Apply then OK. When you restart you will get a window about changing
the startup, just check the box to not display the window.
