How Do I Start XP-Pro With Num Lock ON?

There is probably a very simple answer to this question and I apologise in
advance for my naivety.

I use the number keypad constantly and have always had Windows start up with
the Num Lock activated. I have just obtained a computer with XP Pro
installed and it starts up with the Num Lock off. I have checked out 'Help'
but can find no reference to this.

How can I make XP start with the Num Lock on?

Would someone please take pity on this illiterate and tell me how?

Hi;
TurnOff, ReBoot and Access the BIOS pressing the proper key(s).

The BIOS always offers the option to toggle the numlock switch ON/OFF on
every PC there is.
Generally on 2nd or 3rd page.

this wont help as once the bios hands over to the os it will be reset again
i would also beg to differ on the num lock status being in every bios
i have seen a fair many without that option.
