How do I start an Excel cell entry with the number 0? (i.e. a pin number or
zip code). Every time I enter it, then move out of the cell, the computer
automatically removes the 0 in front of the remaining numbers.

format the cells text to begin with, or put a single quote ' in front of the
zero

before entering data go to Format-Cells-Text
This will now allow you to enter the data with 0 prefixed to a number
OR
Enter ' before your number
