How do i split a document into two documents?

I am using Word 2007 and am creating a 2-part document. How can I split this
one document into 2 separate documents?

Save As a new name. Delete out part in the first file. Delete out the rest
in the second file.

1) Create a new blank document.
2) Switch to original document.
3) Select 1/2 of the original document.
4) Ctrl+X
5) Switch to new, blank document.
6) Ctrl+V.
7) Save under desired name.
8) Switch to back original document.
9) Save under original name or save as under new name.
