How do I set up "New Document" on the labels options to print?

I want to set up labels so that I can type a full page of different addresses
and then print. When I went to labels and clicked on "new document" there was
only a blank page, no lines to type addresses in to. I used this where I used
to work and it worked great, but I can't remember how to set it up. Any help
would be appreciated.

You didn't mention which version of Word. Table, Show Gridlines for Word
2003 and below. Table Tools, Layout Tab and then toggle View Gridlines
found in the Table Group for Word 2007.
