Hi, I was hoping someone could help me. I am having trouble with the email
configuration.

I have a wireless connection with a signal booster (ssid: free the net). I
don't have an ISP as I don't need one to access the internet.

What should I do?

thanks,

Patrick

How do you figure this? Do you realize ISP means Internet Service Provider?
If you don't have service provided to the Internet, how are you getting
there? I must be missing something here.

Choose one of the email providers who don't use port 25 for
their outgoing email server.

For example Gmail:

http://email.about.com/od/windowsmailtips/qt/et_get_gmail.htm

http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=13273

<http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/setting-up-gmail-imap-support-for-windows-vista-mail/>

These instructions cover both the IMAP and the POP methods
of connecting. Choose one of these, and don't get them mixed
up.

under properties, client for microsoft networks it says the name service
provider and address can be changed for RPC or remote procedure call. The
servce provider box is blanked out.

Thanks, I'll do that.
