how do I set up an out of office reply in outlook 2002?

In the tools menu I do not have 'out of office assistant' which help told me
I should have. Where is the out of office assistant in outlook 2002?

You must be connected to an Exchange Server with it this option is
available.
 
If you don't want to connect to an Exchange server you have the option to
install an add-in.
I can recommand you Auto Reply Manager. You can find out more and download
it from www.emailaddressmanger.com
