How do I set small font mode?

I am trying to run softimage XSI, but on startup it says the program only
runs in Small Fonts mode. When I right click on the desktop and go into
properties, then click on the appearance tab, there is a font size menu, but
my only options, on any of the color schemes and windows and buttons lists,
I only have the option of Normal, or Normal Large and Extra Large. Does
anyone know what I need to do?
