How do I set a maximum value on the x axis of a graph?

Trying to show people's scores on a test using a bar graph, need to have a
maximum value (maximum score on the test) set on the x axis.
I.e for a person who scored 35 out of a possible maximum mark of 50 the bar
would have to go up to 35 but the scale on the x axis would have to go up to
50.

If it's a bar graph with horizontal bars, the horizontal axis is the Y axis. Double
click on it, and on the Scale tab, adjust the parameters to suit.
