how do i send amessage to a distributionlist with 1000 members

I am trying to send a message to my distributionlist (BCC) holding close to
1000 members. System puts mail with attachment (867KB) in Outbox, but nothing
happens...??

Running Outlook 2003, on Win XP SP2

Tried to set server time-out to max - no change
 
You might want to contact your mail provider to see if they have a limit on the number of recipients per message. Most do.
