How do I send a confirmation email to latest record entry?

Hello,
I have an Access 2k3 db on my server and would like to automatically send an
email confirmation after a user submits their info. Could someone advise me
on how I could 1) confirm the new record and 2) trigger the calling of the
function I have to send the email message?
