If you want to set Word back to its "out of the box" settings, you can
accomplish most of this by renaming Normal.dot and most of the rest by
rebuilding the Word Data key in the Registry (see http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/MissngMenusEtc.htm for instructions).
This would leave user-defined AutoCorrect entries and perhaps a few other
things. If you just want to *view* Word with the default settings (to check
on style formatting, for example), start Word with the /a switch, which
suppresses Normal.dot, the Registry, and any add-ins.
