how do i retrieve a lost document

My computer froze and I lost a word document that i had been working on, is
there anyway of getting it back?

If Word had been configured to save autorecover information then it should
receover that information when Word is re-started. This works rather better
in Word 2003 than earlier versions, but is not infallible. If the recovery
information has not been saved you should have the last saved version of the
document available. If you have never saved the document, then there is
nothing to recover.
