How do I retreive files from 'My Documents' in 'My old Hard Disk Structure' ?

I've recently reinstalled windows xp home with the 'no
format' option in order to save all my old files from
deletion. Only problem is, now that I have my new install
of windows, I can't access the 'my documents' folder
in 'my old hard disk structure' because it simply
says 'access denied' whenever I try to open or copy the
folder. Can anyone help?

You need to take ownership of the old My Documents folder.
