How do I restore Word to list of Programmes

Word has dissappeared from my list of programmes under the Office heading.
The other programmes are still there, and I can access the programme via
recent documents. How do I restore the heading?

I assume that by "my list of programmes under the Office heading" you mean
the Office category on the Start menu. If so, all you've lost is the shortcut
that belongs there.

Find the Winword.exe file (depending on your versions of Office and Windows,
and the choices you made during installation, it will probably be in a path
like C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11). Right-click it and choose
"Create shortcut". Select the resulting shortcut file and copy or cut it to
the clipboard. Now go to the Office item on the Start menu, right-click it,
and choose either Open or Explore. Paste from the clipboard. You may also
want to rename the shortcut from "Shortcut to Winword.exe" to "Microsoft
Word".
