How do I restore "tools" and "view" to the access menu?

Somehow I've lost the "tools" and "view" choices from the MS Access menu.
All attempts at turning this back on have failed. All remedies offered by
the MS help system start with "click on tools -> ...." or "click on view
->..." . This happens with only one database.

I would appreciate any assistance on this one. I do NOT wish to recreate all
that is in it...

Hold the shift key down while opening the database.

Another solution was to "import" the elements of the database (forms,
macros, files, etc.) into another database. Thanks for the info. It will be
kept for "the next time." It definately will be a lot easier doing it your
way.

In addition to holding down the shift key, which bypasses any startup macros
(Autoexec and/or Autokeys) and settings shown under Tools > Startup, you
should be able to permanently restore this setting by clicking on Tools >
Startup and placing the appropriate checks in the options available.
