I deleted an Access 2002 folder with tons of data in it. How can I go in and
reinstate that folder.

1.) Restore the files from your Recycle bin, assuming you did not empty it.

or

2.) Restore from your last recent back-up. What, no back-up? Okay, here's a
tune just for you:

Yesterday,
All those backups seemed a waste of pay.
Now my database has gone away.
Oh I believe in yesterday.

Suddenly,
There's not half the files there used to be,
And there's a panic
coming over me
The system crashed so suddenly.

I pushed something wrong
What it was I could not say.

Now all my data's gone
and I long for yesterday-ay-ay-ay

Yesterday,
The need for back-ups seemed so far away.
I knew my data was all here to stay,
Now I believe in yesterday.

This is quite a good Access song!

Perhaps an NG for Windows would be a more appropriate place to enquire
about how to undelete files, if the files isn't still in your recycle
bin but, do a "google" with keywords "undelete files", and I'm sure
you'll find tools that might be of assistance.

It's a song about making backups, not Access. We are still dealing with
trying to restore Excel files that wer accidently deleted last Friday. We
have backups, but they are not quickly available (offsite storage).
Meanwhile, 2 days of production have been delayed. Make good backups, and
keep them safe and available. On a regular schedule (at least once a month)
do a test restore.
