How do I restore a corrupted .dll file under an NTFS Disk file system.

I know it is corrupted because the same file on another computer is 80kb
bigger in size and my file, Wmm.util.dll is 76 KB where as on other comps
its 161kb.

I get "'The ordinal 466 could not be located in the dynamic link library WMM
util.dll"

When I copy and install the file over the corrupted one it immediately
reverts back to the corrupted file.

Any clues, pointers etc much appreciated.

This file belongs to the movie maker. The file I have is exactly
77,885 bytes, and its version is 1.2.2541.1.

In addition to the file in c:\program files\movie maker\
there should be at least one other copy, perhaps in
\windows\system32\dllcache.

Have you compared them to see if they are the same?
In general, if it's a protected file and you delete it from
program files, the one in dllcache is used to replace it.
